What I get from SPRING BOARD
I get to do things like meet new people, make new friends, learn new stuff like cooking, cleaning, doing forms, making an apron and doing stuff on the computer etc.. I like my teachers and they help me find out lots of things that I wouldn’t know otherwise without them there with me to help me.
Today a man named DAVID from CENTRELINK came to class and told us things that affect or improve our pension. I was a bit confused with him but that’s just me. Our DAVID HOLT helped me fill in a form and it was no trouble to him. I was very grateful to him for doing that for me cause otherwise I wouldn’t be able to do it on my own cause it gets very confusing for me to do on my own.
It is a great class I reckon and it gets me out of my room at home and helps me to mix socially with other people who have trouble just like me. I feel alone at home and this class helps me get out there and into it, a lot more than I would do normally at home. I feel like I matter here and the teachers are really great towards me and that makes me feel good about myself. I look forward to my classes and I am disappointed if they are called off for whatever reason. They are really important to me and that makes a big difference in my life.
